To make sure you get the most value from our vulnerability scanning service we need to plan. We will help you to create a full overview of your digital assets and advise you where to use our scanners, set up reporting styles and escalation paths.
We have several ways of implementing our scanners, cloud scanning for external IP’s, if desired we can also run the scanners as: VM / appliance / Docker container. SecDesk can advise on which implementation to use in which scenario. After implementation is complete we are ready for our first scan!
Our vulnerability scanner checks each item in the inventory against a databases of known vulnerabilities, and lists all the systems found and identified on the network, highlighting any that have known weaknesses and need attention. Our first scans gives us a baseline to start working on with you and your team.
From now on your network will be scanned daily by our vulnerability scanners. The schedule for the scans can be adjusted per network segment or even per machine. It can for instance be better to scan your datacenter during the night when there is less traffic, but scan the office automation during the day when your employees and laptops are in.
Now that we have this tool in place we can help your team plan / prioritise which vulnerabilities to fix. Over time you can see which of your actions / measures have effect and how much effect they have.
