Mick and Youri go way back. They each ran their own pentest company, occasionally competed, often collaborated, and always stayed in touch. By 2021, it was clear they were both thinking the same thing: there had to be a better way to help companies get secure.

So they teamed up and started SecDesk—not just to run more pentests, but to rethink how security work actually gets done. Less copy-paste reporting, more real impact. What started as a shared frustration became a clear mission, and that’s shaped everything SecDesk has been since—and what it’s still becoming.
